President of the State Parliament

The President is the most senior representative of the Bavarian State Parliament. She conducts the business of the Parliament.

The President manages the business of the State Parliament and represents the State in all acts under the law and legal disputes of the State Parliament. He or she exercises the householder’s rights and police powers in the State Parliament building. The President conducts the meetings of the plenary session of the State Parliament and exercises supervision over the staff of the Office of the Bavarian State Parliament and the State Commissioner for Data Protection.

The Vice Presidents support the President in discharging her office.
